Paranormal events are purported phenomena described in popular culture, folk, and other non-scientific bodies of knowledge. The existence within these contexts is described as beyond the scope of normal scientific understanding. Notable paranormal beliefs include those that pertain to extrasensory perception, spiritualism and of ghost hunting. The term Paranormal can cover a much broader aspect but we will keep this page to those subjects.

  This page will focus on the spiritualism, ghost hunting and extrasensory perception. We will talk to Investigators about what they think is going on. We will ask them what equipment they use and like the best. Then we allow the live listener to call in or chat questions in the chat room.

  ESP is the ability to receive and process information independent of our five senses. Hence, why this phenomenon is often coined a “sixth” sense.

  Spirituality is a broad concept with room for many perspectives. In general, it includes a sense of connection to something bigger than ourselves, and it typically involves a search for meaning in life. As such, it is a universal human experience—something that touches us all.

  Ghost hunting is the process of investigating locations that are reported to be haunted by ghosts. Typically, a ghost-hunting team will attempt to collect evidence supporting the existence of paranormal activity.

Summerwind, formerly known as Lamont Mansion, is a ruined mansion on the shores of West Bay Lake in Vilas County, Wisconsin. Located on private land, its ruins are closed to the public. A number of urban legends and ghost stories in popular culture have contributed to its reputation as a haunted house.                                                                          

Hy-Brasil is a mysterious island appearing on maps from 1325 to the 1800s. In Irish myth, it was said to be clouded in mist except for one day every seven years, when it became visible but still could not be reached. Stories about the island have circulated throughout Europe for centuries.

The Most Haunted Places in Chattanooga
Not many people realize that Chattanooga is one of the most haunted cities in America! While it doesn’t get the press that other haunted Tennessee cities get, like Nashville, Chattanooga is one seriously haunted city!

The Samuel Cleage House dates back to around 1826. Local residents know it colloquially as “The Clegg House.”

Spring-heeled Jack is an entity in English folklore of the Victorian era. The first claimed sighting of Spring-heeled Jack was in 1837. Later sightings were reported all over the United Kingdom and were especially prevalent in suburban London, the Midlands and Scotland.                                                        

Constructed from 1905-1913 primarily to hold back the whirlpools along the Tennessee River, the Hales Bar Dam in Tennessee was the nation’s first hydroelectric dam.  According to legend, War Chief Dragging Canoe cursed the land after the Treaty of Sycamore Shoals was signed.

October 18, 1871 – it is known that Nina Craigmiles was riding in a buggy with her grandfather when it was struck by a train. Dr. Gideon Thompson was apparently ejected from the buggy upon impact and survived.
